Shriner’s Hospital for Children provides advanced care for each patient through research and innovation. As a leading pediatric health care center, they care for children with an intensive care unit for inpatient and outpatient care. As part of their services and amenities, they pursued the development of a therapy and sensory garden on the grounds of the hospital. The garden boasts a wide range of sensory-rich plant material, designed to be engaged with passively or through the horticultural therapy program. In collaboration with Olsen Landscape Architecture, a garden and program was designed to engage children and families in nature-based therapy programs for people with all abilities and backgrounds.
