Grounded in Design specializes in the design and activation of restorative, inclusive outdoor spaces for a range of populations. Clare works directly with clients to design landscapes and programs focused on human health and wellbeing.

About Clare

Clare is a Chicago-based designer with a passion for restorative outdoor spaces. She combines her background in landscape architecture with her expertise in healthcare garden design, program development and landscape construction to deliver custom landscapes and programs to clients.

Clare studied landscape architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds a certificate in Healthcare Garden Design from Joseph Regenstein Jr. School of the Chicago Botanic Garden. In addition to design, Clare specializes in nature-based program development and delivery, including programs in collaboration with the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Healing Environments Ambassadors Learning Through Horticulture (HEALTH) internship program.
