Creating public awareness through exhibition and programming

The Flourish Exhibit, Flourish: Inside and Out, was a public display and exhibition at the United States Botanic May 21st - October 2, 2016. This exhibit, designed and programmed in partnership with the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Horticultural Therapy Services Department, provided visitors the opportunity to learn about the health benefits of engaging with nature. Through a series of interior vignettes and exterior displays, visitors interacted with a range of plant material, growing apparatuses and tools to engage with nature in a myriad of ways. In addition to the public display, seminars about therapeutic garden design, container gardening and horticultural therapy were designed and offered to deepen the educational opportunities during the exhibit.
